Chairman of Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev has commented on panic in Armenian political circles following the meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister and co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group, the Community told APA.
T. Ganjaliyev stated that Turkish Foreign Minister Movlud Cavusoglu held meeting with co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group in Ankara a few days ago.
“At the meeting, the head of the Turkish MFA called on the Minsk Group to work more proactively in order to solve Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Garabagh conflict. Mevlut Cavusoglu voiced the statement that “this solution should be in the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity”. After this meeting, Armenia’s political circles sounded a number of incomprehensible statements and demonstrated their negative attitude to the meeting of the head of the Turkish MFA with the co-chairs.
I as the elected representative of Azerbaijan’s Nagorno Garabagh region state that Turkey is one of the members of the OSCE’s Minsk Group and there is not anything strange in holding a meeting with co-chairs by Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country. On the other hand, Turkey as a country contributing to security and progress at both international and regional levels is interested in the solution to the existing conflicts.
In fact, the panic developed in Armenia’s political circles after the mentioned meeting shows that they are not interested in the solution of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Garabagh conflict and try to continue the occupational policy.
Non-constructive position of political circles of aggressive Armenia has directed against regulation of the Conflict, end of Armenia’s invasion, and establishment of peace in the region. As an elected representative of the Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I declare once more that the only barrier for the co-existence of the two communities in the peaceful conditions is the existence of Armenian troops in our territories. After the removal of invader troops from there and the return of the Azerbaijani population to their lands, there will not be any problem for our co-existence with the Armenian Community of the Nagorno Garabagh region of Azerbaijan within internationally-recognized borders of Azerbaijan”, noted T, Ganjaliyev.
