Statue installation of Nasimi unveiled in Shamakhi
The opening of the statue installation of Imadaddin Nasimi was held on September 29, in the village of Mayseri, Shamakhi, as part of the Second Festival of Poetry, Art and Spirituality, APA reports.
Head of the district executive power Tahir Mammadov delivered a speech at the opening ceremony noting that the sculpture installation, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was a manifestation of the Foundation's attention and care to great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi, and to the creative people in general.
Author of the sculpture installation Rashad Alekperov said that the sculpture "Nasimi's soul" was erected according to Nasimi's ghazal couplet.
