The Presidential Library of Azerbaijan hosted virtual and traditional book exhibitions commemorating the anniversary of March 31 – Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
The exhibitions feature scientific, historical, and documentary publications reflecting the genocide, deportation, and ethnic cleansing policies carried out against the Azerbaijani people in the 20th century.
The materials displayed in the traditional exhibition cover a broad historical and geographical area. These publications describe massacres that occurred in the Goycha, Guba, Shamakhi districts, as well as in Iravan and Nakhchivan. Simultaneously, acts of violence committed against the Turkic-Muslim population in Southern Azerbaijan and Eastern Anatolia are illuminated based on historical sources. It also provides detailed information about the March 1918 genocide, the activities of the Turkish Caucasian Islamic Army, the expansion of Armenian terrorism, and acts of vandalism directed against cultural and religious heritage are also reflected in detail in the publications.
A virtual book exhibition titled "Genocide of Azerbaijanis" has been updated and launched at the Presidential Library. The virtual exhibition systematically compiles materials on the subject, offering a detailed presentation of the events' essence based on historical documents, scientific research, and eyewitness accounts.
These exhibitions, presented on the occasion of March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, are of significant importance for commemorating the tragic pages of Azerbaijani history, preserving historical memory, and disseminating scientific knowledge to the general public.
