Event marks 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press
On July 22, the Media Development Agency organized an event in Baku to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press.
The event opened with a message from President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to media representatives on this milestone.
The message was read by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
A number of media representatives were awarded the “150th Anniversary of Azerbaijan’s National Press (1875–2025)” jubilee medal, established by presidential decree.
A video presentation dedicated to the anniversary was also showcased.
The event continued with an artistic program and was attended by heads of television channels, news agencies, leading print and online media outlets, and public figures.
