A new edition of IRS-Heritage magazine, a key platform for promoting Azerbaijani history, culture, and realities globally, has been released in German.

The latest edition opens with a foreword by Editor-in-Chief Musa Marjanli, focusing on Azerbaijan’s transformation into a rapidly developing country, its growing importance for Germany and Europe, and the importance of raising the German public’s awareness about Azerbaijan’s ancient history, rich culture, art, as well as the still not fully healed wounds of Karabakh.

The central theme of this edition is the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was successfully hosted in Baku in November last year under Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. The piece emphasizes that Azerbaijan’s hosting of the COP29 climate conference, which brought together representatives from nearly 200 countries, has significantly contributed to raising global attention to the country.

The edition provides insights into the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, a masterpiece by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, a British architect and designer of Iraqi origin, noting that the Center is today considered one of the most recognized architectural landmarks worldwide.

The publication also includes an article highlighting the life and creativity of the famous Azerbaijani theater designer Badura Afganli.

IRS-Heritage offers the German readers exclusive insights into historical and cultural monuments, including the Baku Museum of Modern Art, which is regarded one of the most beautiful and richest museums in Baku.

The magazine also features an article by German publicist and photographer Heike Maria Johenning highlighting the Baku architecture (of the last two hundred years), the beauty and uniqueness of the architectural examples of the Azerbaijani capital, as well as the historical and cultural ties connecting them with Europe.
