Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, addressed the 3rd European Conference on Azerbaijani Studies held in Valetta, Malta. In his speech, Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's role as the President of COP29, its initiatives in energy security, transportation, and communications, as well as the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period.
Jeyhun Bayramov underscored that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to environmental protection and combat against climate.
He also discussed the key achievements during Azerbaijan's COP29 Presidency, including the adoption of the Baku Financial Goal, which increased financial support for developing countries from USD 100 billion to USD 300 billion annually. Additionally, he noted the conclusion of negotiations on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and the establishment of the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage as significant milestones.
