Initiated by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, a special postage stamp marking the 530th birth anniversary of outstanding Azerbaijani poet and thinker Mahammad Fuzuli, has been issued in Germany.

The limited edition postage stamp depicts the portrait of the great poet.

In a separate section of the postage stamp, it was emphasized that Mahammad Fuzuli’s rich literary heritage had exerted a great influence on the literary environment not only in Azerbaijan, but also outside the country.

His artistic and philosophical heritage raised Azerbaijani poetry to new heights and contributed to the development of Azerbaijani language.

The postage stamp was presented to the participants at the event titled "The poet in me" (Der Poet in mir) held on September 18 at the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Berlin to mark 530th birth anniversary of Mahammad Fuzuli by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany.
