“Direct negotiations in Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process proved to be the most productive format,” Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chair-in-Office, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Ian Borg.

He emphasized that this is evidenced by a number of confidence-building measures achieved in the last six months.

“Among the most recent developments, we can mention the start of the delimitation process in a part of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border between the two countries in April, as well as the liberation of 4 villages of Azerbaijan that have been under occupation for many years through political and diplomatic means,” the minister added.
