Azerbaijani and Armenian parliament speakers hold bilateral meeting in Geneva
Parliament speakers Sahiba Gafarova of Azerbaijan and Alen Simonyan of Armenia have held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.
The meeting was organized at the initiative and with the mediation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The sides discussed in what form the parliaments of the two countries could support the peace process to the backdrop of the ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
They agreed to consider conducting a dialogue on the parliamentary level.
The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere.
