The 40th meeting of the Permanent Council of Culture Ministers of TURKSOY, jointly organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and TURKSOY, has been held in Shusha.
Addressing the event, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli highlighted the importance of the meeting. Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district Aydin Karimov noted that the cultural capital of Azerbaijan – Shusha city, was announced the “Cultural capital of the Turkic world-2023” at the Meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY Member States in Bursa, Türkiye, on March 31, 2022. Karimov also noted that in accordance with the order signed by President Ilham Aliyev, various events have been held in Shusha this year.
Other speakers of the event included First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev, as well as First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Akhmedov, Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Fikri Ataoğlu, Secretary-General of Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA) Mehmet Sureyya Er and ITA President Shahin Mustafayev.
