“Today, Azerbaijan’s trust in France is zero as a potential mediator in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia,” said Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on special assignments Elchin Amirbayov in an interview to the Radio France.

"The support of Armenia by the current political leadership of France has led to such a situation that no one in Azerbaijan is ready even theoretically to accept Paris as a party that can make a useful contribution to the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan.

The latest proof of the loyalty of Paris, which selflessly defends the interests of Armenians, is the recent statement by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna about the decision to raise the military-technical cooperation with Yerevan to a new qualitative level, as well as the start of the supply of arms and military equipment to the de facto ally," Elchin Amirbayov noted.

The president's special envoy emphasized that France's irresponsible action does not only undermines its great claims of being a "peacekeeper" but also leads the region to a new dangerous situation related to military conflict, and pushes Armenia to new deadly provocations and aggression against Azerbaijan.
