Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Samad Seyidov has toughly responded to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s speech at PACE, accusing him of deceiving the world community.

“You led a war campaign against Azerbaijan. Why didn’t you mention the Khojaly genocide in your speech? More than 600 people, including children, the elderly and women were killed as an act of genocide committed in the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly. Why didn’t you talk about the ethnic cleansing committed against Azerbaijanis?” Seyidov said. The Azerbaijani MP said that Armenia`s Sargsyan is trying to mislead the international community.

“Armenia continues to disregard resolutions of PACE and other organizations. The UN, EU, Council of Europe and other international organizations have adopted certain resolutions recognizing the occupation of Azerbaijani lands,” he said, adding that Armenia and its president ignore all of them.
