“The OSCE Minsk Group’s Co-Chair countries France, the Russian Federation and the United States of America should assert their position on the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in a more decisive manner,” director of the Institute of History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), MP, Yagub Mahmudov has told Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.
“The Armenian aggressors must withdraw their military forces from the territories of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani people express dissatisfaction with the fact that three superpowers - the Russian Federation, the United States of America and France - don’t exert due pressure on such a small country as Armenia,” he said.
Touching upon the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations, the MP said: " Bulgaria occupies an important place in the European policy of Azerbaijan. We see Bulgaria as a door to Europe. Your country plays a significant role in our country’s energy policy. Bulgaria will in the near future hold a large share of the hydrocarbon and gas reserves of Azerbaijan. The opening of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars rail road will also positively influence the economic relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.”
