As part of the Bonn Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany, the COP29 Presidency presented several initiatives included in a comprehensive plan of action.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, COP29 Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev delivered the opening speech at the event, expressing gratitude to representatives for their participation in the informal consultations on the vision and strategy of the COP29 Presidency held earlier in the week.

Yalchin Rafiyev provided insight into the initiatives included in the COP29 Presidency’s plan of action, emphasizing the primary goal of promoting climate action and civic engagement.

He highlighted that these initiatives aim to strengthen real solidarity for a green world beyond formal negotiations. “This year's presidency initiatives build on the valuable legacy of previous ones. The Presidency strives to create coherence and synergy between initiatives and stakeholders to mobilize all efforts towards our common goals,” he underlined.

The event then featured presentations of selected initiatives across key priority areas of the presidency.
