“Parliamentary elections to be held in Azerbaijan on February 9, serve as a qualitative update of the parliament,” Russian political expert Yevgeny Mikhailov told Secki-2020.az.
According to him, in 2019, the parliament was dissolved in order to ensure better and higher-quality public service.
“The Azerbaijani President stated that substantial and qualitative changes are necessary in the public administration system. In this regard, the persons, who will be elected by people, should justify the expectation of voters. Persons represented in the new parliament should be able to adopt laws, which will contribute to the economic and political life of the country. Trust in young and active staff is great. I hope that new parliament members would contribute to the development of the country in accordance with the reforms conducted by the President,” he said.
