“There will be no change in our principled position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be solved within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The President said Azerbaijan will not allow the founding of a second Armenian state in the historical Azerbaijani lands: “The norms of international law must be fully implemented, UN Security Council resolutions must be completely fulfilled. This position is based on history and international law because the Nagorno-Karabakh is our historical and ancient land, because the whole world, all the countries recognize Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and respect it. The Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan”.

President Ilham Aliyev said another event confirming this happened this year: “Again as a result of Armenia’s ridiculousness an illegal referendum held in the Nagorno-Karabakh was not recognized by the world community.” "Neither neighboring countries nor Minsk Group co-chairing countries nor the European Union nor other organization recognized the results of this referendum. By doing so they confirmed that Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan," said President Ilham Aliyev.
