“Justice and security perception, which the global system could not provide in the South Caucasus, was achieved thanks to the decisive victory of the heroic Azerbaijani army. With that, the bleeding stopped in the region, replaced by peace, tranquility, stability, and prosperity. A historic opportunity has emerged to ensure lasting peace, initiate development, and strengthen ties in the region. We should do our very best to take full advantage of this opportunity,” stated Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci at an event in Baku marking the 101st anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic.

The ambassador emphasized the strategic importance of energy projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP, and TAP. He highlighted COP29 as a major global event, expressing confidence that Azerbaijan will host the summit successfully. "We consider COP29 as a global event aimed to further strengthen Azerbaijan. As Türkiye, we will participate in this event at the highest level," Bagci noted.
